Clay is a native Texan, spending his early years in Houston and later moving with his family to College Station. After school, he was given the wonderful opportunity to work on his uncle's ranch while also learning he had a unique talent and love for making cowboy hats. This specialized skill brought him to a career opportunity in Fort Worth where he successfully helped manage a store and created hats for the world's best rodeo athletes, country music superstars and proud Texans alike.
With the heart of a true entrepreneur, Clay started his first company in 2016 and it grew into a strong business and trademark, Positive Times +x. A brand/logo now owned by American Hat Co that is seen on the back of many cowboy hats and serves in memory of Clay's former mentor Keith Maddox.
Since the start of his real estate career, Clay has proudly called The Ashton Agency home. He has and continues to work side by side with Broker, Ashton Theiss, and Vice President, Kolby Stewart as their Executive Associate. This role has springboarded Clay's career and fast-tracked his knowledge in real estate, especially within the specialty, and oftentimes complex, facets including farm, ranch and land development. This role has exposed and actively involves Clay in truly monumental and noteworthy sales, resulting in accumulating experience that exceeds even the most seasoned and tenured Ranch, Land, and Luxury agents.
Clay resides in Aledo, Texas and enjoys all things outdoors; mainly golfing, hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Kylie, have a 2 year daughter and a baby boy expected to join them in July of 2024.
